All natural beauty in Newy

A not-so-small town standing proud by the sea, Newcastle has all the best stuff you could want from a coastal getaway. And then some.

Hit the ground running with the Memorial Walk - a 6km coastal track that connects Nobbys Lighthouse to Merewether Ocean Baths. Bring your cozzie or your budgies, (we like purple ones) as the Ocean Baths and Bogey Hole rockpool, built by convicts in 1819 are both waiting to be dived into.

Back in the centre of town, you won’t be lost for a cafe or a gallery to swing past. Darby Street is your go-to for great restaurants and cafes. If you’ve still got some energy left? Head to TreeTop Adventure Park, or learn a few tricks at Newcastle Surf School. If you’re out by the water between May and November, you might even spot some whales passing through. They make sure to visit Newy every year - and you might end up doing the same.
