Get in tune with Tamworth

Hear that? That’s the sound of Australia’s musical capital, buzzing with things to do and tunes to be heard.

Based in the heart of NSW’s New England region, you’ll realise music’s a big deal here when you go, ‘Ooo look at that massive 12-metre high Golden Guitar!’. It’s home to the world-famous Tamworth Country Music Festival, but the tourist centre and the Country Music Hands of Fame Park hit the right notes all year round.

Outdoor activities get a big thumbs up too. You can go bushwalking, paragliding, horse riding or visit a rodeo. And if you’re traveling with the family, you just have to visit the Tamworth Marsupial Park and Adventure Playground, (the little ones can feed a joey), while the Tamworth Regional Playground offers flying foxes, a skywalk, bike track and splash pad.
